Day One: Neurotech Start-Up Intensive Course
This half-day event is targeted at early-stage neurotechnology firms and research professionals contemplating launching a neurotech start-up. Conference faculty will offer tutorial courses in preparing a business plan, conducting market and competitive research, and locating sources of funding specific to the neurotechnology industry.

This session offers specific and practical advice on preparing a set of initial materials, including executive summary, investor presentation, and financial model, that will attract attention from venture capital firms. It includes examples of items that have made the difference between funding and no funding decisions. The presenter will also discuss how to find the most appropriate VC firm and how to arrange a meeting with the key person at the firm.
