in the neuro space, including neuromodulation, neural prostheses,
neurodiagnostics, and neurostimulation. Attendees will hear from
some of the leading researchers and entrepreneurs developing clinically
and commercially promising products such as cochlear implants,
stroke rehabilitation devices, implanted pain stimulators, neural-computer
interfaces, and advanced brain sensing technologies.
Keynote speaker for the forum is Warren Grill, Ph.D., one of the
nation's leading experts in neural stimulation, neural prostheses,
computational neuroscience, and neural control. Dr. Grill is the
Elmer L. Lindseth Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering
at Case Western Reserve University and a principal investigator
at the Cleveland FES Center. He is a founding member of the International
Functional Electrical Stimulation Society and serves on the editorial
board of of Neuromodulation, the journal of the International

features representatives of some of the leading venture capital
firms active in the neuro space. The panelists will discuss critical
issues such as the relative strengths and weaknesses of devices
and bio/pharma approaches to neurological disorders, the current
investment climate in the neuro space, and key factors in obtaining
