Jennifer French Joins Neurotech Reports as Associate Publisher

Neurotech Reports, the premier publication in the neurotechnology industry, announced the addition of Jennifer French as associate publisher and senior editor. French is the founder and executive director of Neurotech Network and has a breadth of experience in the neurotechnology industry.

“As a neurotech user, writer, and advocate, Jennifer French has contributed greatly to the field,” said James Cavuoto, editor and publisher of Neurotech Reports. “We are honored to have her on our team.”

French is the author of several peer-reviewed articles as well as features in various media outlets. In 2012, she released her book, On My Feet Again: My Journey out of the Wheelchair using Neurotechnology (Neurotech Press, 2012). The book chronicles her personal experience with a spinal cord injury and being a participant in a clinical trial. More recently, she along with coauthor James Cavuoto released a collection of short stories featuring 10 individuals with neurological disabilities who made the decision to participate in a clinical trial or become a recipient of a newly approved neurotech device to treat their conditions. The title of the book is Bionic Pioneers: Brave Neurotech Users Blaze the Trail to New Therapies (Neurotech Press, 2014). As a frequent speaker, French has presented to disability, medical, and science oriented organizations, such as the National Academy of Sciences, the World Science Festival, TEDx Talk, the NIH/NINDS Neural Interfaces Conference, and many more.

Neurotech Reports is dedicated to providing business and technology professionals up-to-date and forward-looking information about the field of neurotechnology and future developments that will affect the venture capital, research, and start-up communities. “The Market for Neurotechnology” is a forthright analysis of the industry with the latest report to be released in November at the Neurotech Leaders Forum, including this year’s event November 2-3 in San Francisco.

French has worked closely with the industry, clinical, and disability communities to tell the story of neurotechnology and the impact it can have on the lives of those who use these innovative devices. This fresh perspective will help Neurotech Reports expand along with the industry by providing original and thought-provoking content for the neurotechnology industry.
